Shalene's Birthday

Today we celebrated Shalene's birthday, it isn't actually till next Friday, but since Kevin was up from St George for the weekend we decided to do it today. She wanted to go to the California Pizza Kitchen, so we all met at the Gateway. No one really likes that place except her, but it is her birthday. We went there last year too and I remember not liking it, but I actually really liked it this time. BJ really dislikes it so we shared a pizza and Jace loved it. I think he actually just loves anything! Everybody was there except Adam(Haylee's husband) we are quite the crowd these days. We don't see everyone as often as we use to and trying to get 14 people's schedules to match up gets kind of tricky, so it was really good to be all together again. I hadn't seen Kyla(my niece) for awhile and she is getting so big! She is my only niece so I love getting to play with her. My kids are the only grandkids on both sides, except for Kyla now, and it is different when it is a niece or nephew and not your own kid. I like being an aunt!! And the kids were so good, it was so nice . We always dread going out because they aren't too great, but they were very well behaved and we had no major break downs!

And I just think Jace is so cute I had to put him on!!

The wall

Well I finally did it I painted my wall. I had decided about a month ago I was going to do it, but then I had to convince Beej it would look good, and then get to Home Depot and get the stuff. So last week while Brayden was at school I did it, I went and bought the paint. I was really nervous, but I wanted to get it done before they delivered the new couch. The reason for going with the sage green(painted turtle is the actual name) was because of the stupid "x-box chair" we have. It is a deep green color so I wanted it to all come together. It was scary for me to go that dark on brand new white walls, but it turned out ok, and I think once I get everything hung on the walls and the new furniture in there it will look good. Once I get it all put together I will post a picture, but here is just "the wall".

President's Day

We had a good 3 day weekend. We had decided to go to Thaksgiving Point to the dinosaur musuem, but of course BJ had to go fishing in the morning so I decided I would go to RC Willey and get a new couch. First of all not fun with 3 kids and second I get there just a little bit before they opened at 10 and there was a line!! I was not happy, but luckily we only had to stand outside for about 5-10 minutes and we got what we went for so it was all good. And because the kids were so good we stopped at Krispy Kreme on the way home and got us some yummy, warm donuts!! And Jace LOVED them he ate one and a half!!

BJ finally got home around 12:00 and we headed over to Thanksgiving Point. We decided to get a family pass to all of Thanksgiving Point that way we can go back to the dino musuem, or farm country or wherever all summer. It will be nice when the weather warms up. Can I just say how cool this dinosuar musuem is. Brayden is a dinosaur guru and so we have been to just about every dinosaur musuem in Utah. We have been to the one in St George, Ogden, Vernal and now this one and I think this one is by far the coolest!! It is so big and there is so much to see and do. There is alot of hands on stuff which is fun.

Here is the kids making their dinosaur sounds while infront of one of the hands on exhibits.
There was another hands on where you build your own dinosaur. They have different heads, legs, arms, tails, horns, that you put on this body to create your own dinosuar. Very cool! Adi was very proud of her creation her dad helped her make.

This part was the coolest and probably the kids favorite in the museum. It is a big area that has water, sand, dinosaurs, trees, etc in like a big sand box type thing. They have smocks for the kids to wear so they don't get sand and crap all over them and they can just play in it. Brayden loved this!! He had so much fun finding as many "long necks" as he could and then having them cross through the water. He loved it. Adi enjoyed it too, but not for as long as Brayden did!

Jace slept most of the time we were there, but he sure liked crawling all over the baby three horn once he woke up!

After we had been through the musuem Brayden, Adi, and my mom and dad went to the Xango mammoth theater and saw a movie called The Wild Safari in 3D. Brayden loved it!! They said it was like you were in the back of a jeep on a safari. Adi was good but only kept the glasses on for about 2 minutes. BJ and I decided not to go and we took Jace home, so we'll have to see it next time! It was such a cool place and we had a good time!

Stuff

Adi started her cheerleading class. It was so funny! There are mirrors across one wall of the room and she would just look at herself and smile, and then look at me and smile. It was so funny. Brayden wasn't as impressed with her, he was upset that she wasn't doing what the teacher was. He wanted to go out there and give her some help! As soon as her cheerleading class is over I am going to start her in gymnastics. She wants to go into the gymnastics room so bad evertime we are at the Legacy Center, and I would start her now, but BJ says wait, so I guess I will.

Last Friday was our anniversary and BJ had to work so Saturday we planned on going to dinner and a movie. Well I was rocking Jace putting him down for his morning nap and I thought I heard the garage open, but I didn't hear it shut, or anyone come in, so I didn't think anything of it, and went upstairs to put Jace down and get in the shower. While I was in the shower I thought I heard the door open, but again no one came in so I figured it was the kids dinking around. Well to my complete surprise when I got out of the shower there was a rose and a card sitting on the counter! I came downstiars and there was BJ sitting at the table. He had gone into work to tie up some loose ends and taken the rest of the day off, it was such a good surprise and a welcome one since I had been sick earlier in the week and was still not feeling great. Later that night we went into Provo to the mall and let the kids play at the kiddie area there and I shopped. It was a good day. Saturday we celebrated by going to a movie, and tried to go to dinner, but there was some dance at one of the high schools and everyplace had over an hour wait so we got take out and came home. BJ was fine with that since the Jazz were playing. And since our anniversary is 5 days before Valentine's Day BJ figures if he gets me a gift for one it covers both, so there will be no celebrating Valentine's Day for us today. I do have a cute little gift basket for the kids with treats and Cinderella III in it. Brayden thinks this is a major holiday. He told me he wouldn't go out and play with his friends today because it was a holiday and we should spend it with family. It was so cute! Since he thinks it is worth celebrating I am going to make a special dinner with candles and all.

I have to post this picture of Jace because I just think it is so dang cute. He hasn't figured out how to go down the stairs yet and so when we are downstairs and he wants to come down he crawls over to the bars where he can see us and growls and makes noises till one of us goes up and gets him. Too funny!!

Caught orange handed

The other day I decided to hurry and jump in the shower before putting Jace down for his nap. Brayden was at school, and Jace and Adi were playing really good, so I thought I would hurry to get a jump on the day. So I hurried and showered and when I got out it was dead silent. So I hurry and threw my robe on and came downstairs to see what was going on. As I walked down the stairs I see Adi sitting on the couch with the huge bucket of cheez balls, and I asked her where Jace was. She said he is in the pantry. So I rush into the kitchen to see him standing there eating doritos! Appearantly when Adi got into the pantry to get her a little snack she left the doors open and Jace thought he would help himself to a little snack as well, it was a huge mess, but pretty funny. I'm sure glad that kid eats as well as he does with no teeth, he had eating chips down to a science. He sure was mad when I took them away and shut the doors!
