Round Up Week

Lehi Round Up days came and went again, and we tried to do as much as we could and had a great time! Tuesday we went to the movie in the park. It was Alvin and the Chipmunks this year, the kids had such a good time!! I went over a few hours early and staked us out a place to sit, we had great seats! We went with Julianne and Megan again and the kids had so much fun running and dancing around till the movie started. I started out with all 3 kids, but about the time the movie started Jace decided he was tired and wanted to go home, so I called BJ and he came over and met me and took Jace home. The rest of us stayed and finished the movie and had a great time!

Thursday was the horse parade and rodeo. The kids look forward to this night every year! They love the rodeo!! We took Jace this year and he loved it! He was so good after each bareback he would say "do it again!" and he loves telling how they tie up the cows toes, it is so funny! BJ of course hates the rodeo and tells me how he is not going the next year, we'll see!!

Friday was the float parade and of course we had to go to that too. It was so hot, but fun to see all the ward floats and marching bands and stuff, and of course they throw candy so you can't complain. Julianne and I staked out a primo spot that was in the shade so it really wasn't that bad, and again we had a blast!

Our wards float. They did a great job!! Brayden wanted to walk in the parade with the ward, but I was a mean mom and told him it was LONG and would be HOT and he would get NO candy, that did the trick!!

Our Summer Days

This is how most of our summer days are spent. Either slip n sliding, running through sprinklers, sprinkler under the tramp, or the little swimming pools. Its fun to have all the neighbor kids outside playing together! It keeps all my kids entertained and they have a blast!!

BJ also had a birthday! No we didn't do much celebrating let's just say he is kind of a party pooper. His is pretty much the only birthday at our house that doesn't get a week long celebration and atleast 2 parties, and trust me it is not for lack of trying!! Guess he just doesn't like birthdays!!

One day we went over to Thanksgiving Point to the Children's Gardens. The kids love the Noah's Ark and they love to play in the water! It was hot so we pretty much just stayed at the Noah's Ark and didn't walk around the gardens till they were ready to go home.

Yes Brayden was there, but he was with some friends so I never really saw much of him!

Father's Day

Any gift giving occassion all BJ wants is a gift card from Cabela's. Everytime without fail!! Yes it is easy, but sometimes annoying, where is the surprise? He says it comes when he finds a good deal at the bargain cave. Anyways so this year for Father's Day I thought we would take him to dinner and then to Cabela's to pick out his gifts. We went to Olive Garden then headed to Cabela's. We got there just in time to see them feed the fish, which the kids thought was fun, and then while BJ "shopped" the kids and I looked at the animals. Jace was terrified and just kept his head buried in my neck, it was kinda funny! After BJ was done shopping we played in the shooting gallery and the shooting games for awhile. I will say the shopping trip was unsuccessful, so I guess gift cards it is from now on! After Cabela's we hit Home Depot, this trip was a little more successful. It was a fun night out with the family!!

On Sunday after church we headed up to my cousins house in Plain City. It was so nice to see both my grandpa's and my dad. The kids had so much fun playing with cousins. Brocky and Kade are a few months younger than Adi and they have so much fun together! Brayden got a little bored because Gracyn was with her dad, but they have a cool tree house so you can't complain too much! Grandpa and Grandma Taggart came even though grandpa wasn't feeling well, and it was so good to see grandpa. I am so grateful for grandpa and for all that he has taught his family. He is such an amazing man. He loves us all no matter what and supports us in everything we do! I hope my kids will always treasure these memories of grandpa Bus! Since we were already in Plain City we decided to run over to Grandparents Graves. I really can't even remember the last time we saw them, and since I couldn't remember it must have been too long! It was great to see them! We stayed a bit longer than we had expected, but it is always so nice to see family!

Happy Father's Day to my own dad for all that he does for me and my family. My kids love their poppy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives!

Last, but not least, Happy Father's Day to Beej! He is such a good dad. I know we frustrate the heck out of you most days, but you still love us and that says alot(we are a handful). You do so much for us and make so many sacrifices that I know we take for granted. Thanks for supporting us in everyway! We love your guts!!!!

Mowing the lawn & dress ups

Whenever BJ goes out to mow the lawn Jace always has to get his lawn mower and follow behind. I just think it is so cute to watch him follow BJ around the yard!

And while BJ and Jace were mowing, these two were dressing up, don't they look great!! And yes they were walking around outside looking like that!!
