Pumpkin Patch

Monday night for Family Home Evening we went to Packs Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins for Halloween. We took Brayden to a pumpkin patch when he was 14 months, and it has just kind of turned into a tradition since then. Every Halloween he expects us to go and Adisyn is old enough to get into it too!
As soon as we got there and started out into the fields to find our pumpkins Adisyn found hers immediately and carried it around waiting for "bubby" to find his. It took him a little bit longer as he wanted to find the biggest one there. BJ and I weren't too stoked on that since they are $.22 a pound, and we are the ones to have to clean out the pumpkin!! But after walking down a few rows and BJ shooting down the really big ones he found one he liked! There is also a cute little corn maze for the kids built out of bales of hay, they had so much fun running through there. It was so cute Brayden would wait for Adi to make sure she didn't get lost and every few minutes he would pop his head up over the hay to see where he was in the maze.
After the pumpkin patch we headed home for our "pumpkin" dinner. I cooked dinner in a pumpkin and then pizza dipping sauce for breadsticks served in a pumpkin. It turned out pretty good and the kids thought it was cool that the pumpkins had the food in them. It was a fun night!!
